I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Winfield Middle School Principal. For the past 5 years, I have served in the role of Assistant Principal and am excited to transition to my new role. My family has chosen to live in Winfield for over 30 years, and my children attended Winfield schools. I have a deep rooted passion for both our community and students.
Throughout my education career, I have served in various leadership and teaching roles. After graduating from Southwestern College in 1997 with a BA in Secondary Education, I began teaching science at Augusta High School. In 2005, I earned a Masters in School Leadership from Baker University. During my 17 years in Augusta, in addition to teaching, I served as Dean of Students and Assistant Principal. In USD 465, I am honored to have served in the roles of Associate Principal at WHS, member of USD 465 Board of Education, and Assistant Principal at WMS.
My goals are to continue to provide high quality instruction for our students, while focusing on consistent communication with our parents. Attendance and academic growth are key components to student success, and WMS will work in partnership with students and parents to thrive.
